Prof. Markos Papageorgiou will deliver a public talk on traffic management in the era of vehicle and communication systems on December 14 at 5.30pm at the University of Malta’s Engineering Lecture Theatre.

Prof. Papageorgiou is director of the Technical University of Crete’s Dynamic Systems and Simulation Laboratory. His research interests include automatic control and optimisation theory and applications to traffic and transportation systems, water systems and other areas.

He is author or editor of five books and of some 400 technical papers.

The talk is part of activities being held to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the setting up of the University of Malta’s Department of Systems and Control Engineering. After the talk, the department’s newly refurbished and relocated Control Systems Engineering Laboratory will be inaugurated.
