Two men were grievously injured following an argument in St Julian's early on Saturday morning.

The police said they were alerted to a fight between the two foreign nationals in Triq Ross at 3.15am.

A 21-year-old Somali man, who resides in Marsaxlokk, and another man, whose identity has not yet been established, were both found injured following a bloody argument in which a knife was used.

An ambulance rushed the victims to hospital for treatment. No further details are available.

The police are investigating.
