Penalty points came into force today as a means to discourage drivers from dangerous driving.

According to the list, driving wrong way in a lane for opposing traffic could cost between three and five points.

But what when the driver is a warden, whose duty it is to prevent such infringements in the first place?

The above violation took place in Qormi this morning.

The warden's car is clearly seen crossing continuous white lines and driving dangerously into traffic, sneaking back into lane in front of an oncoming truck.

Earlier today, a truck driver whose madcap driving was caught by horrified Times of Malta readers on three separate occasions was hauled to court after articles featuring his antics went viral.
