AGIUS. On November 24, Dr EDGAR A. AGIUS, aged 94, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church, to reunite with his son Simon. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Anne, née Roth-Watts, his children Joanna, Justin and his wife Tina, and Taryn and her husband Perry Jones, his grandchildren Frederica and her fiancé Dirk, Stephanie, and Jazz, his brother Emilio and his wife Mary, his sister Yvonne Hall, nephews and nieces. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Monday, November 27, at 8.30am for St Julians parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 9am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Poor Clares Monastery, St Julians, would be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
COLEIRO. On November 24, at Casa Antonia Balzan, MARLENE née Vella Said, widow of Joseph, aged 79 years, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughters Victoria Ann Grech and Derick, Ann Marie and Jonathan Cassar Torreggiani, her beloved grandchildren Joanne and her husband Paul Gatt, Louise and her husband Frank Cutajar, Maria and Luke, her great granddaughter Ana, her sister Josephine Gauci, her in-laws Mae, Tony and his wife Diana, Frank and his wife Esther, nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Casa Antonia on Monday, November 27, at 1.30pm for Balzan parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Marija Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Sisters of the Poor Clares, Santa Dminka Street, Victoria, Gozo, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest. TONNA. On November 22, at Mater Dei Hospital, PAUL (Pawlu ta’ Santu) of Rabat, widower of Rose, aged 88, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his son Mario and his wife Maria, his daughter Alexandra and her husband Joseph Bugelli, his grandchildren Annalice and her partner Christian Bezzina, Charmaine and her fiancé Keith Cauchi, Claire, Paul and his fiancée Krista Grech, Rachelle and her fiancé David Camilleri, and Fiona, his great-grandchildren Jasmine and Dean, his sister Josephine, his in-laws, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today, Saturday, November 25, at 1.30pm for St Paul’s Collegiate church, Rabat, where concelebrated Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm. The Count Roger Band will accompany the cortège to Santa Margherita Cemetery, Rabat, where burial takes place in the family grave. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
VELLA. On November 24, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARY of Marsa, aged 72, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Sydney, her sons Jason and his wife Sandra and Keith and his wife Elaine, her grandchildren Kirsten, Miguel, Glenn and Isaac, her sister Veronica, her brother Ġużi, her in-laws, relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held today, Saturday, November 25, at Maria Regina parish church, Marsa, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm, followed by interment at Qrendi cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, would be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
