Giving way at a roundabout must be one of the most basic traffic regulations, but we see scores of vehicles flouting it every day.

Dashcam footage shot at the Qormi roundabout on Wednesday shows how some drivers of large vehicles still believe size does matter.

As the driver of a small car waits by the 'give way' sign, the clip shows a large truck driving dangerously right through and onto the roundabout, ignoring the fact that other cars have the right of way. And of course, he didn't bother to use indicators.

The truck's number plate was not visible because of mud and dirt.

The footage was sent to Times of Malta shortly after it reported another truck overtaking dangerously in Mosta.
