The target of the Attard murder on Friday was garage owner Raymond Grima, who survived the shooting but remains in hospital in a critical condition, the police said on Tuesday.

58-year-old Anġlu Mangion died on site after he was hit three times.

The police said they were analysing all information they were receiving from the public and again appealed to anyone who had information about the case to contact them, even anonymously, on 119 or 2122 4001.

The murder took place in a garage-cum-upholstery-workshop on Mdina Road at around 6.20pm on Friday evening just as Mr Mangion, from Qormi, entered the garage where Mr Grima runs his upholstery business with his son.

Mr Mangion was shot three times, while Mr Grima was hit four times. T

The shooter made his getaway on a motorbike, which he had driven to arrive on the scene.
