AZZOPARDI. On November 19, at Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre, JOSEANNE, aged 48 years, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. Loved and remembered by her beloved daughter Jessica and her fiancè Bernard, her partner, her parents Philip and Maria Dolores Azzopardi, her sisters Miriam and her husband Joe Lia and Simone and her husband Joseph Zahra, nephews and nieces Jonathan, Stephanie, JayJay and Abigail, uncles and aunts, cousins, relatives and friends. The funeral cortege leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Tuesday November 21, at 1.30pm for Our Saviour parish church, Lija, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2pm followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

CARUANA. On November 20, at Mater Dei Hospital, PHILIP, former employee at De La Rue Ltd, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He will always be loved and remembered his wife Rose Marie, his sons Ruben and his wife Clare and Christian and his wife Nadia, his grandchildren Abigail, Nathan, Jamie and Emma, his brothers and sisters, Rose Marie’s family, other relatives and friends. Funeral Mass præsente cadavere will be said on Wednesday, November 22 at 8am at Msida parish church, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. The family would appreciate if instead of flowers, donations in his name be sent to Hospice Malta, Balzan, or Puttinu Cares, Mater Dei Hospital. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

FARRUGIA. On November 18, at Mater Dei Hospital, DORIS née Bonnici, of Ibraġ, aged 68, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Gianni (tal-Hotrod, Msida), her children Gaby and her husband Marco, Therese, Nickolai and fiancée Abigail, Matthew and fiancée Katryna and grandchildren Elisa, Giuseppe and Luigi, her brothers and sisters, in-laws, other relatives and friends. The funeral will be held at Burmarrad parish church on Wednesday, November 22, at 3pm followed by interment in the family grave at St Paul’s Bay cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

FARRUGIA. On November 19, at Carmelite Convent, Balluta, the Lord called to himself Fr ROBERT Farrugia, O. Carm., aged 78. He leaves to mourn his loss his sister Ninette and her husband Mario Spiteri, his brothers of the Maltese Carmelite Province, nieces, cousins among whom Fr Edmond Caruana O. Carm., other relatives and friends. Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at the Carmelite Church, Balluta, today, Monday, November 20, at 2.15pm followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. May God grant him eternal rest.

Mqabba feast on December 10

The feast of the Immaculate Conception, in Mqabba, will be celebrated on December 10.

Solemn High Mass, concelebrated by Fr John P. Curmi, the parish priest, starts at 4pm followed by procession with the statue of Our Lady of the Lily.

External festivities will proceed with a concert by the Our Lady of the Lily Band, directed by Mro Andrew Calleja, at the main square followed by a social activity at the club.
