Participants in the HNU University’s MBA International Extension Programme were recently hosted by the University of Malta for an intensive two-week programme of applied management master classes, seminars and industry visits.
During the two-week period, the German MBA participants were engaged on an extended strategy live case study under the direction of Dr Nathaniel Massa, strategy and live case-study director. This practice-based business project entailed meetings, analysis and direct interaction with the top management team of Foster Clark Products Ltd. They addressed the company’s challenges and dynamic realities, and finally presented a strategic review, findings and recommendations to the company’s board and management. The exercise also included participants ‘embedded’ within the company for a number of days. The participants also visited Methode Electronics, Trelleborg and Actavis.
The programme is run by the University of Malta’s Department of Management bi-annually and forms part of a long-standing alliance and ongoing collaboration between the University and HNU. It includes specialist contributions from various departments of the University’s Faculty of Economics, Management and Accountancy, as well as from practising professionals.
The MBA participants includes executives employed at international blue chip companies engaged in a wide range of sectors.
