A woman got the fright of her life when two thieves burst into her house in St Paul's Bay this morning.

The incident happened at about 9.30am at St Publius Street.

One of the thieves carried a knife and threatened the woman. The thieves eventually escaped with €3,000 in cash and another €3,000 worth of jewellery, according to TVM. 

The woman, 43, was slightly injured but was treated on site. 

The police are investigating.
