The opposition has requested a debate within the Parliamentary foreign affairs committee about Brexit and its impact on Malta.

The request was made by Nationalist MPs Carmelo Mifsud Bonnici and David Stellini.

They said they wished to discuss various aspects of Britain's exit from the EU, including the economic aspect and the impact on the free movement of persons.

The request was made to committee president Edward Zammit Lewis.
