Amadeus: the Chamber Choir, from Liverpool, UK, performed a choral concert at the Gozo Ministry’s hall, Victoria. The choir was formed in 2000 and is made up of a group of like-minded singers – everyone sings for enjoyment and pleasure.
They are a regular guest choir for services at Blackburn and Chester cathedrals. They have sung in Durham Cathedral, Southwell Minster, Hexham Abbey, Liverpool Town Hall and even at the Liverpool Football Club ground at Anfield.
The choir were invited to Vienna for the International Conference of Radiologists. They have also visited Paris and sung in La Madeleine and Nôtre Dame.
Amadeus: the Chamber Choir have also performed in Venice at Monteverdi’s burial place in the church of Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari, Granada, Segovia and Prague.
In 2009, the choir visited Rome and sang Mass in St Peter’s Basilica. They also performed a concert during the reopening celebrations at the church of the venerable English college.
