Lucia di Lamermoor by Donizetti will be returning to the Astra Theatre in Victoria tomorrow, Friday and Saturday at 7.30pm. One of the flagships of the bel canto golden age, Lucia has enthralled audiences since its premiere at Naples’ Teatro San Carlo in 1835.

Lucia will be interpreted by Serenad Uyar. The mise-en-scene is created by Enrico Stinchelli specifically for the Astra, while the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra and the Teatru Astra Opera Chorus, coached by Maria Frendo, will be under the direction by Joseph Vella, resident conductor at the Astra Theatre.

Online booking and more information on the opera is available on www.teatruastra.org.mt or by calling 2155 0985.
