While the tender for the first phase is closed, and the one for the second is undergoing adjudication, today sees the opening of the call for the third phase of the Marsa-Addolorata multilevel junction project.

This is the largest phase of the project with works in this stage comprising the building of seven flyovers, designed to solve the problem of congestion and to improve road safety in this area.

The flyovers are planned to direct traffic to the different localities, eliminating several traffic lights which create congestion due to the present structure of the junction, according to the Transport Ministry.
