Local international basketball referee Bernard Vassallo will again be in action in the European sphere this week when he will travel to Italy so that, on Thursday 19th October, he will referee the game valid from Group H of the FIBA Euro Cup Women which will be played in the Palaminardi in Ragusa between hosts Virtus Ragusa and Barreiro from Portugal.

This is the second day of the group phase and both teams had a win on the first day with Virtus winning 74-56 away in Szekszard and Barreiro registering a 70-62 home win over Nymburk.

The officiating crew for this game, apart from Vassallo who is the crew chief, will consist of Stylianos Simeonidis (Greece) and Kyriacos Christou (Cyprus).
