CAMILLERI. On October 16, at Mater Dei Hospital, WILLIAM of Santa Luċija, aged 87, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. Dearly missed and never forgotten by his sons Nicholas and his wife Laurie and Martin and his wife Nicky, his grandsons Zachary, Alex, Matt and Luke, other relatives and friends. He will always be loved and remembered by his wife Mary, née Formosa, his children Noel and his wife Alison, Markus, Sonya and her husband Marcello, Ruth and her husband Andy, his grandchildren Michael, Sarah, Christopher, Alessandro and Gabriella, other relatives and friends. RIZZO. On October 15, at Mater Dei Hospital, VINCENT A, aged 89, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. A beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, he leaves to mourn his loss his dearest wife Rosa née Azzopardi, his beloved daughter Anne, wife of Karol Farrugia, his sons Vincent J, Philip and George and their respective wives, his many treasured grandchildren and great grandchildren and the devoted family carer Connie Vesagas. The funeral cortege leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Thursday, October 19, for Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9.30am followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. SCHEMBRI. Suddenly, on October 16, at Mater Dei Hospital, ALFREDA, née Zarb, widow of John, aged 79, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved children Lilian and her husband Anthony, Mary and her husband Noel, Michelle and her husband Tony, Charles and his wife Caroline and Charlotte, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, other family members and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Thursday, October 19 for the Nativity of the Virgin Mary (Maria Bambina) parish church, Senglea, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 7.45am followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. TONNA. On October 17, at Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre, SANDRO, aged 66, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving wife Miriam, née Soler, his most beloved only son Karl and his dearest wife Louisa, his cherished grandsons Gianluca and baby Isaac, his sister-in-law Maria, widow of his brother Carol and her children Janelle and Linn, his sister Mariny and her husband Joe Grixti, his in-laws Albert, Louise, widow of Richard Soler and Yvonne, wife of Joe Galea, other relatives and friends, especially his ex-colleagues from Air Malta.
The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Thursday, October 19 at 1.20pm for Balluta parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers please but donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, will be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest. Thanks to the consultant and all the staff at Palliative Care, all staff at Hospice Malta and the management and staff at Villa Messina, Rabat, for their care and dedication throughout his very short stay there.
