Agora Club Malta is this weekend hosting over 200 ladies from 18 countries for the Agora Club International Annual Conference, being held at the Salini Resort Hotel, Salina Bay. The local club was set up in 2014 and currently has over 30 members.

A varied programme of events, including tours around the island and social events, culminating with a gala dinner last night at the Casino Maltese, were organised.

A group of former members of Ladies Circle created the first Agora Club in Lille, France, in 1987. The following year, the French National Board was founded. Clubs then started being formed in The Netherlands (1993) and Belgium (1994). The first international council took place in Strasbourg, France, in 1996.

Today, Agora Club International has clubs in Austria, Belgium, Botswana, France, Germany, Iceland, Israel, Italy, The Netherlands, Madagascar, Malta, Morocco, Norway, Romania, South Africa, Switzerland, UK, the US and Zambia.

New clubs and new countries continue to show interest.
