A dangerously protruding pipe in Sliema left a woman with a broken hip, we reported earlier this week.

But photos sent in by Times of Malta readers show that it's not the only pedestrian hazard in the busy town.

These two photos, taken in Stella Maris Street and Howard Street, present self-evident dangers to frail, mobility-impaired or distracted walkers on the busy Sliema streets. 

The first image, which shows a smashed kerb and drainnpipe on the lower part of Stella Maris street, is especially concerning.

"It was sent to Sliema council," the reader said of the photo. "Nothing has been done."
