SpaceX successfully launched a partially used Falcon 9 rocket on Wednesday.

The evening launch occurred at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida at approximately 6.53pm Eastern Time (2253 GMT).

Billionaire SpaceX founder Elon Musk has hailed the twin achievement of salvaging a used rocket and re-launching it yet again as a revolutionary step in his quest to slash launch costs and shorten intervals between space shots.
