Esplora, the interactive science centre, is marking World Space Week – which celebrates science and technology and their contribution to the betterment of the human condition.

Visitors to Esplora this week can observe the sun through a telescope, experience a total solar eclipse, meet Maltese space scientists, try out one of the space-themed workshops and explore the secrets of the cosmic chemistry during the planetarium show.

Esplora is working hand in-hand with the National Coordinator for World Science Week, The Astronomical Society of Malta and the Institute of Space Sciences & Astronomy to bring this event to Malta for the first time.

World Space Week runs from today until Sunday, October 8, from 8am to 6pm at Esplora Interactive Science Centre in Marina Street, Kalkara. For more information, visit http://esplora.org.mt/ .
