BirdLife Malta is this weekend holding its annual Migration Festival as part of EuroBirdwatch17, which is being organised by the BirdLife International partnership across Europe to celebrate bird migration. At the moment migration of birds of prey over Malta is at its peak.

Events in Malta will include bird ringing at the Għadira Nature Reserve today between 8.30 and 9.30am and birdwatching at Buskett between 2 and 4.30pm. Tomorrow, there will be birdwatching at Laferla Cross, limits of Siġġiewi, between 2 and 7pm.
