Every year, the “pilgrimage” of Our Lady of Graces looks more and more like a parade. It’s an opportunity for Malta’s cyclists to assemble together to go for a ride and for bikers to show off their bikes.

For the residents of Żabbar, pious processions on their feast day are no longer enough. They have to put on a show, with cyclists and bikers parading through Malta’s streets.

It would be more beneficial if this pilgrimage took the form of as a solemn religious procession to Mater Dei Hospital. Then, this newspaper can report back to us how many sick children were healed through the “intercession” of Our Lady of Graces.
