Anne Marie Thake, a full-time lecturer at the University of Malta’s Faculty of Economics, Management and Accountancy has been awarded a Ph.D from the University of Bath’s Department of Policy and Social Sciences.

Dr Thake’s thesis was entitled ‘A critical review of graduate employability skills: Lessons from the Maltese experience.’ She conducted research and analysis to examine graduate employability skills in the accountancy, pharmaceutical and ICT sectors and how these are affected by institutions, and drew out patterns and inconsistencies.

Dr Thake’s Ph.D supervisor was Prof. Peter Cressey with Prof. Hugh Lauder serving as co-supervisor.

Her studies were partly funded by the Malta Government Scholarships Scheme.
