Adrian Delia, one of the four Nationalist Party contestants for the leadership, has, in my view, committed a grave political mistake when he refused to publish a declaration of his assets.

He has been reported saying he would only make public a declaration of all his assets if he wins the leadership election.

Surely, all PN councillors and members who are being asked to vote and choose the new PN leader should have access to such a declaration of assets before they make their choice and not after, as they may want to ask Delia to explain some items that would be included in such declaration.

No wonder certain PN people wonder why Delia is reluctant to be transparent with PN councillors and members if there is nothing that could raise serious questions.
