Malta’s industrial production fell by 3.2% in June when compared with May, and by 1.3% when compared with June 2016.

Malta had the third largest month-on-month decrease, following Ireland (-7.5%) and the Czech Republic (-3.8%).

Industrial production was last at this level in Malta in October 2016, according to Eurostat, rising from an index of 95.6 to 101.4 in February, and dropping virtually every month since then.

Production in the EU fell by 0.5% in June compared with May, and by 2.9% when compared with June 2016.
