Fifteen properties out of 22 were sold at the fifth edition of the Remax Auctions, organised by Remax Malta’s auction house at the Hilton Malta.

In recent months property auctions have become a popular alternative method of selling a property within a short time frame and at a real market value. Auctions manager Jeremy Borg Grech said: “We are extremely satisfied with the response we are receiving from the local market. Home owners are realising that selling through auction is an excellent alterative.”

Vendors receive a holistic service, which includes a package consisting of assisting in pricing strategy, the provision of photography, ensuring the property in question is in line with Planning Authority permits, conducting initial searches on ownership and creation of a marketing plan for maximum exposure.

Buyers are assured that the completion of a sale will be unencumbered without experiencing disappointment while the bids of the buyer are what determine the final purchase price.  Since the time of the purchase is also significantly reduced this means that the buyer has the freedom of planning any refurbishment and purchasing any furniture knowing that sale is guaranteed.

Remax Malta CEO Kevin Buttigieg said: “We are pleased to announce that properties within the portfolio of the Remax auction house are selling within an average of less than 90 days. Property auctions are part of our commitment to reinvent ourselves and improve standards in the sector.”

The next property auction is scheduled for November.
