Another impressive night for Malta international Andre Schembri, as he proved to be decisive once again after a scoring a late winner for Apollon Limassol to earn them the Cyprus Super Cup over league winners Apoel Nicosia.

Schembri started the match from the bench after suffering a minor knock in their European tie against Aberdeen of Scotland last week, but it did not hinder him from having his say in this match.

The former Boavista forward has now scored four goals in five official games for his new club, cementing his status as one of the finest players ever produced in Malta.

Apollon will be back in action on August 17, when they host Danish side FC Midtyjlland in their Europa League play-off first leg tie.
