In 2015, 2,768 of the Gozo and Comino residents working full-time were employed in Malta.

Since there were 11,735 full-time employees that year, this represents one in every four, according to a publication released today by the National Statistics Office.

The number of Gozo and Comino residents with a full-time job in Malta region increased steadily during the six-year period under review, with the exception of a drop in 2013.

Of the total, 58.4% worked in the public sector and the remaining 41.6% worked in the private sector.
