If you thought Dingli Cliffs weren't worth visiting on a cloudy day, think again.

These photos taken by Times of Malta reader Paul Fenech yesterday morning show the iconic Maltese site in an altogether different light, with the breathtaking views the area is more commonly known for replaced by an otherworldly cloud formation.

A Met Office spokesperson confirmed that the photos showed Stratus clouds, which are flat and hazy, resembling a grey blanket hanging low in the sky.

"This is a common sight at this time of year due to high temperatures and humidity levels," the spokesperson said.
