In his Talking Point ‘A great week for politics’, Kurt Farrugia, head of government communications, gave us his learned(?) opinion of Simon Busuttil.

For sure, he has confirmed beyond doubt that Busuttil has been a big thorn in Labour’s side, exposing Labour’s corruptive misdemeanours, no matter the election result.

In the 1980s, Labour used raw violence in an unsuccessful attempt to silence Eddie Fenech Adami and the Nationalist Party. Now it uses more subtle means but the motive remains the same.

History will duly ascertain that Busuttil was a beacon of hope for this country to clean up politics and expose the corrupt.
