Students who obtain a Higher Diploma in Advanced Studies in the Early Years from the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology will be able to enrol in the third and final year of the University of Malta’s new BA (Hons) Early Childhood Education and Care. Graduates may work in kindergartens and enrol in the Master in Teaching and Learning (Early Years and Primary Education) to qualify as primary school teachers. A memorandum of understanding on collaboration in this area between the two educational institutions was signed by University rector Alfred Vella (right) and Silvio De Bono (left), president of Mcast’s board of governors, in the presence of Education Minister Evarist Bartolo (centre) and Mcast principal Stephen Cachia.
