Can you pick up a rip-off somewhere? The massive traffic jams are agonisingly pushing the money we spend on inflated petrol prices down the drain. Admittedly, there can be no short-term solution.
In the meantime, the car-congested streets do not portray the real picture of Malta’s standard of living.
Take the cost of a drug indispensable for many senior citizens: Xeralto. In Malta, it is available at €38.40 for 10 tablets. In Slovenia, they can be bought for less than €21. In Italy, it is cheaper still. I know of some pensioners who balance their budget with difficulty to afford this medicine.
Can someone please consider the plight of the vulnerable pensioner without delay?
