ATTARD. On July 23, HELMA, née Gollcher, widow of Lt. Col. William Attard, aged 94, passed away peacefully at Mater Dei Hospital, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her sad loss her children Wilhelmina, wife of Michele Sottile, George and his fiancée Jowita Mircea, and Martyn and his wife Seda, her grandchildren Michela, Alessandro, Alan, Ana and Mira-Helma, her great-grandchildren, relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Wednesday, July 26, at 9am for Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 9.30am, followed by interment in the family chapel at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
RANDON. On July 23 at Mater Dei Hospital, MARIO, aged 70, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his irreparable loss his loving wife Christine nèe Diacono, his children Mark, Elisabeth and her husband Dr David Attard, and Ann Marie and her husband Matthew Xuereb, his dearest grandchildren Matthew, Mandy, Simon, Paul, Martina, Michela and Luca, his sisters Mary Rose and her husband Donald Finn and Victoria Mangion, his in-laws and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortege leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Tuesday, July 25, for the church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Balluta, St Julian’s, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am followed by interment at Santa Marija Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Ursuline Sisters, Sliema, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Mater Dei Hospital’s M1 Ward and the staff at Fatima Ward at St Vincent de Paul for their care and dedication.
SANT CASSIA. On July 22, the noble YVONNE, aged 91, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her sister Josephine Cachia Caruana, her nephews and nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, other relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am tomorrow, Tuesday, July 25, at the parish church of the Annunciation of Our Lady, Balzan, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest. The family would like to thank Josephine Camilleri and the staff at Casa Antonia, Balzan.
