A quad bike driver was injured in a 'hit-and-run' incident in Gudja this morning, the police have confirmed.

Police said the incident happened in Triq l-Avvjazzjoni Civili, near the airport roundabout, when a car was seen driving away after hitting the quad bike, throwing the driver off it, police told Times of Malta. 

The driver, a 29-year-old from Żejtun, suffered slight injuries. The incident happened around 11am.
