Two men were injured yesterday evening after a three-storey zorb ball jump went horribly wrong, the police said.

The two men jumped three storeys off the Riviera Martinique cliff and ended on the rocks below.

The accident happened at 5.45pm.

Since the area is inaccessible, an Armed Forces of Malta helicopter was dispatched to the scene and the victims taken to hospital.

A 31-year-old man from Swieqi sustained serious injuries while a 28-year-old, also from Swieqi suffered slight injuries.

Zorbing is the recreation or sport of rolling downhill inside an orb, generally made of transparent plastic.

Police are investigating.
