A series of educational programmes and cultural exchanges are taking place between today and July 27 as part of The Malta International Music Master Classes.

These classes will see leading performers working with classical music students and young professionals before audience venues.

Apart from voice, there will be masterclasses for the following instruments: piano, violin, voice, viola, cello, guitar, saxophone, oboe, clarinet, cimbalom and chamber music ensembles. These masterclasses will be happening in various venues in Mdina, Rabat, Valletta and St Julian’s.

Meanwhile, the Malta International Composition Competition is being held in collaboration with the Central Academy of Arts, for string quartet (two violins, viola and cello) in any style. This competition is open to composers of all nationalities, without age limit. A grand prize will be awarded in February 2018.
