Gozo Minister Justyne Caruana opened an exhibition of wooden artefacts at Il-Ħaġar Museum, Pjazza San Ġorġ, Victoria. The St George-themed collection in-cludes hand-carved statues from Bavaria and lower Austria dating from the early 19th century up to recent years.

One of the statues comes from the prominent Zwink workshop in Oberammergau. Also on display is a Balkan hand-painted flask icon set.

The museum is open daily from 9am to 5pm. Entrance is free. The exhibition is open until September.
