• Goods bought by consumers should conform with the description and specifications agreed with the trader in the contract of sale.

• Consumers must make sure that they have something in writing that describes the goods they are about to buy.

• Traders are obliged to provide a free remedy when goods sold do not match the pre-sale information given to consumers.

• Consumers are responsible to notify the trader about the lack of conformity in writing within two months from when they detect the problem.

• The time-limit by when consumers can make a claim for a remedy or compensation is two years from the date of delivery of the goods.

• When consumers opt to buy shop-soiled goods they should make sure that any defects/damages are clearly indicated by the seller.
