Red Bull Salzburg have all but wrapped up their passage to the next round of the Champions League when they eased past Hibernians 3-0 at the Hibs Stadium.

The Austrians dominated the match right from the outset but had to wait until the 31st minute to break the stalemate. Jackson Lima was sanctioned for handling the ball inside the area in an attempt to block Munas Dabbur’s cross and from the resultant penalty Valon Berisha fired the ball past Hibs goalkeeper Andrew Hogg.

Salzburg were now on the front foot and four minutes later they doubled their lead.

Berisha turned provider when he played in Hee-Chan Hwang and the South Korean player blasted the ball past Andrew Hogg.

Salzburg kept pushing forward after the interval and they sealed their win with a third goal on 54 minutes when Dabbur’s shot was blocked by Hogg with the ball hitting Takumi MInamino before finishing into the back of the net.

Red Bull finished the match with ten men when Berisha was shown a straight red card after for an abrasive challenge on Rodolfo Soares in the middle of the park.
