The title chosen by Luciano Micallef for his presentation at the Italian Cultural Institute, Tracce indelibili (indelible traces), clearly indicates the relationship the artist has developed with Italy since the time he spent at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence from 1979 to 1983.

Since then, Micallef has exhibited in many private museums and galleries in Europe, Asia, the US and Australia. At tonight’s event, he will answer questions over a glass of wine.

Micallef’s presentation, forming part of the Magic Box series, is being held at the Italian Cultural Institute, Valletta, tomorrow at 6.30pm.
