The University of Malta’s annual Faculty of ICT Exhibition and Dean’s List Awards ceremony will be inaugurated by President Marie Louise Coleiro Preca on Thursday. The exhibition showcases work developed by the faculty’s undergraduate final year students and the awards acknowledge exceptional academic achievements.

The exhibition will be open to the public on Friday from 5 to 8pm at the Faculty of ICT at the Msida Campus. This year’s exhibition will feature around 80 projects on various aspects of ICT. These in­clude projects on themes such as genome modelling and data science, game technology, information analytics, assistive and adaptive technologies, image and video analysis and processing.

Other themes include body monitoring, wearable devices, flow management and transport systems, security and surveillance solutions, testing, visualisation, health and wellbeing.

There are also projects on speech processing, programming paradigms, entertainment, em­bed­ded systems and chip design, system modelling, social media and tools, mobile technologies, video transmission, financial tools, hardware interfacing and user experience.

An informal lounge-around event will be held on July 17 at 11am where prospective students may  chat with faculty academic and administrative staff. For details visit the Facebook page below.
