On the occasion of the 130th anniversary of the conferment of the title of City to the town of Rabat and its name changed to Victoria, Victoria local council presented the Ġieħ il-Belt Victoria award to Victoria primary school, also known as Happy School, during morning prayers at the school.

The presentation was made by Victoria mayor Samuel Azzopardi to the students’ council president, the young Malcolm George Debattista (pictured) on behalf of the school’s headmaster, Lelio Spiteri (right). All the students and their teachers were given a copy of the book Victoria – A Portrait of a City, published by the council. The school’s choir took part.
