Chievo: Chievo have signed midfielder Gianluca Gaudino from Bayern Munich. The 20-year-old, who has spent time on loan at Swiss side St Gallen, made eight Bundesliga appearances for the German champions. Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge told the club’s official website: “We wish Gianluca all the best and success for his future in Italy, the country from which the family of his father Maurizio (is from).”
Onyekuru: Everton have confirmed the signing of Nigeria international Henry Onyekuru from Belgian side Eupen – a deal which takes their summer spending past £50 million. The 20-year-old, who finished the season as joint top-scorer in the Belgian Super League with 22 goals in 38 matches, has signed a five-year contract after a fee understood to be in the region of £7 million was agreed earlier this week. However, he will immediately go out on loan to Anderlecht for next season where he will play in the Champions League.
Banned: Shanghai SIPG manager Andre Villas-Boas and striker Hulk have been hit with two-game bans by the Chinese FA for publicly protesting the eight-match suspension handed to the club’s midfielder Oscar earlier this month. The pair, along with China international Wu Lei, were sanctioned for their reaction to Oscar’s lengthy ban for instigating a melee during Shanghai’s Chinese Super League (CSL) meeting with Guangzhou R&F almost two weeks ago.
Mainz: Mainz assistant coach Peter Perchtold has left the club to take up a similar role at Bundesliga rivals Schalke. The 32-year-old has signed a two-year contract at the Royal Blues and will work alongside newly appointed coach Domenico Tedesco. Perchtold’s contract at Mainz ran until 2018, but after boss Martin Schmidt left in May, his deal was terminated by mutual consent.
Doumbia: Sporting Lisbon have announced the loan signing of Roma forward Seydou Doumbia. The Portuguese club also have the option to make the transfer permanent at the end of Doumbia's season-long stay at the club. Ivory Coast international Doumbia, who spent last term at Basle, told the club's official website: "It is a great pleasure to have arrived at this great club.
