Europe’s largest free music event, Isle of MTV Malta is back, with UK platinum selling artist Raye set to open the 11th edition of the festival.

The British singer, 19, will join past collaborator Jonas Blue,  along with DNCE and headliners Chainsmokers.

Raye, who reached the UK charts multiple times in the past few months, with By Your Side, You Don’t Know Me, and The Line, told MTV: “I can’t wait to party with you at this year’s Isle of MTV! Looking forward to seeing you all there in Malta.”

DNCE and chart-topping DJ and producer Jonas Blue will take the stage next, followed by The Chainsmokers.

Making their global debut in 2015, with their triple platinum-selling breakout smash Cake by the Ocean, DNCE (Joe Jonas, Cole Whittle, JinJoo Lee and Jack Lawless) recently took home the win for Best Push Artist at the MTV EMAs and Best New Artist at last year’s MTV VMAs.

Their self-titled debut album DNCE, released in November 2016, charted internationally and includes the follow-up hit singles, Toothbrush and Body Moves.

2016 MTV EMA nominee Jonas Blue  took the music industry by storm last year with his debut single Fast Car featuring Dakota. Selling over six million records worldwide, it was the biggest selling single globally from a debut British artist. This was followed with equally great success by his second and third dance hits, Perfect Strangers featuring J.P. Cooper and By Your Side featuring Raye.

Widely regarded as one of the ‘breakout acts’ of 2016, the multi-platinum-selling Chainsmokers will perform the closing set.

Shooting straight into the global charts with their debut single Selfie in 2014,  the electro-dance music twosome comprising of Alex Pall and Drew Taggart, hit the charts with their single Closer.
