BORG CARDONA – ELFRIDA, née D’Agatha passed away peacefully at Mater Dei Hospital on June 22. She leaves to mourn her loss Robin Hughes, widower of her sister May, Joan, widow of her brother Achille and her many nephews and nieces in Malta and the UK. The funeral took place yesterday. Please say a prayer for the repose of her soul.
FALZON SCERRI. On June 24, at Mater Dei Hospital, MAGDALENA (Maudy), widow of Carmel, aged 89, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her sad loss her children Joseph, Dorothy and her husband Frank Galea, Henry and his wife Carmen, Norman and his wife Alexandra, Nathalie and her husband Carmel Bonello and Sandra and her husband Noel Zammit, her grandchildren Deborah and her husband Herman, Daniel and his wife Tiziana, Clint and his wife Daniela, Christian and his wife Lucienne, Nicola and Michael, Noeleen and Anthony, Fabian and his wife Laura and Nathan and Thea, her great-grandchildren, her sister Marcelle and her husband Donald Taylor, Rose and her in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.15pm for Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish church, Gżira, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
PACE. On June 27, at St Vincent de Paul residence, CHARLIE of Cospicua, widower of Ċettina, aged 79, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his daughters Josephine, wife of Alfred Borg and Marthese, wife of David Zammit, his beloved grandchildren Rebecca, Andrew, Mark Anthony, Michaela and Hannah, his brother-in-law Joseph Portelli, widower of Tessie, his brothers and sisters Joe, Rose, Mary, Polly, Connie, Tessie and Rose, widow of his brother Anthony, their respective families, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves St Vincent de Paul residence on Thursday, June 29 at 7.45am for Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception collegiate church, Cospicua, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
