Hibernians scored two second-half goals to see off FCI Tallinn, of Estonia, 2-0 in the Champions League first qualifying round first leg tie at the Hibs Stadium.

The Paolites endured a scare after only three minutes when the visitors were awarded a penalty when Rui De Gracia Gomes was adjudged to have fouled Roman Nesterovski inside the area. But from the spot, Kirill Nesterov saw his low drive pushed away by Andrew Hogg.

The Estonians continued to dominate proceedings in the first half and were unlucky on 29 minutes, Pavel Domov’s inswinger rattled the bar before the hosts cleared.

Hibs showed signs of improvement in the second half and on 62 minutes Jorginho latched to Marco Sahanek’s delivery to head the ball into the net.

The Paolites kept pushing forward and they sealed their win on 73 minutes when from another Sahanek’s cross Bjorn Kristensen flicked the ball into the net.
