GO plc has inked a new collective agreement with the General Workers' Union that includes higher salaries and more flexible working conditions for all its staff. 

The new deal also includes enhanced provisions for employees on long-term sick leave, the company said in a statement. 

"The considerable improvements which we have introduced in recent years, and other new initiatives...have now also been incorporated into the new collective agreement with the GWU," said the company's chief human resources officer Ayrton Caruana. 

GWU technology sector head David Darmanin said the agreement took a long time to thrash out, with negotiations extended following organisational changes within the company. 

He expressed satisfaction that the collective agreement was now a done deal. 

The agreement was signed by GO’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr Attila Keszég, Mr Caruana and Mr Darmanin. The signing was witnessed by senior management team representatives from GO's HR department and GWU shop stewards from across different teams with GO.
