MLS: The Chicago Fire maintained their pursuit of MLS Eastern Conference leaders Toronto FC by thrashing Orlando City 4-0 at Toyota Park. Valjko Paunovic’s men have now won eight of their last nine games as they attempt to chase down Toronto, who after Saturday’s results are only one point clear at the top. David Accam got the ball rolling with a third-minute opener and doubled up five minutes later to put Chicago in full control. Hungary’s Nemanja Nikolic chipped in with his 14th goal of the season after the break and Accam then completed his hat-trick from the penalty spot.

Brozovic: Marcelo Brozovic is wanted by Everton, Manchester United and Zenit, as Inter hope to get at least €25m for the Croatia international. The midfielder is on the market, as he is not in new coach Luciano Spalletti’s plans and seen as one of the best options to raise funds quickly. Everton are believed to have made an offer worth €18m over the last few days, but that was turned down for being too low.

Muriel: Luis Muriel has attracted attention from Valencia, Sevilla and Lazio, but Sampdoria set a €28m release clause in his contract. The Colombia international striker scored 13 goals with nine assists in 33 competitive appearances this season. Spanish sides Valencia and Sevilla have both set their targets firmly on the 26-year-old. Another option would be to stay in Serie A with Lazio, who see Muriel as an alternative to first choice Alejandro ‘Papu’ Gomez of Atalanta.

Jovetic: As Sevilla continue to haggle over the price-tag with Inter, now Galatasaray are also interested in Stevan Jovetic. The Montenegro international spent the last six months on loan in Spain, contributing six goals and four assists in 21 Liga appearances. There was a €13m option to buy, but Sevilla are refusing to pay that sum, instead trying to negotiate a double deal for Jovetic and their former midfielder Ever Banega at under €20m.
