In a battle between a motorcycle and a car, few would pick the former as a winner. 

But dashcam footage of a road rage incident in California shows that when it comes to hotheads driving at speed, size need not matter. 

It began with the motorcyclist and car ramming one another...

Footage of the high-speed altercation begins seconds before a motorcyclist drives up to the rear of a sedan and kicks out with his foot, hitting the car on the side. 

The sedan driver immediately retaliates, ramming the motorbike towards a centre strip concrete barrier. But the rash move immediately backfires, as the driver swerves the other way, loses control and crashes into a pick-up truck, flipping it over and causing serious damage to both vehicles - while the motorcyclist keeps chugging along. 

One of the drivers involved in the crash was treated for head injuries, US media reported. 

...and ended with cars in flames and flipped over.
