A photo from the summit in Brussels dominated the front page of the Times of Malta, with British Prime Minister Therese May chatting to Prime Minister Joseph Muscat. The photo is particularly significant as Brexit is one of the main topics underlying the discussions. The paper also reports that the terms of the Nationalist Party/Democratic Party coalition will be discussed today, and that no bids were received for the Rinella film studios.

The Malta Independent also picks on the coalition for its main story, confirming that PD leader Marlene Farrugia will not be contesting the PN leadership, closing the door that she seemed to have creaked open when asked about this just after the election. Its second story is about the shadow Cabinet announced yesterday by Opposition leader Simon Busuttil.

L-Orizzont also selects the coalition as its main story, but its headline refers to the "continuing confusion" this is causing within the PN. Its photo shows some of the exhibits put up by engineering students, while its second story confirms that three ministers - Chris Fearne, Helena Dalli and Edward Scicluna - have cast their nominations to be the Labour Party deputy leader for parliamentary affairs.

And In-Nazzjon chooses a few different stories for its front page. The photo shows the police hearse leaving the Freeport after a foreign worker was killed in a fall, with the selection of the shadow Cabinet as its second story. Its main story, however, was given considerable prominence and says that the Maltese Presidency of the EU is refusing to cooperate with the European Paliament's committee set up to look into the Panama Papers, which it says is raising the ire of European citizens who do not want to be held hostage by small countries with no interest in being transparent.
