COLEIRO. On June 21, at Karin Grech Hospital, FRANGISKU SAVERIO of Sliema, aged 92, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Andrew and his wife Joanne, Maryan, Maria, Eileen and her husband Vincent, Raymond and his wife Sue, Alfred and his wife Josephine, Gino and his wife Carmen, Carmen and her husband George, Josette and her husband John, grandchildren, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today, Thursday, June 22 at 1.35pm for Sacro Cuor paish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2pm followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. GATT. On June 22, at Mater Dei Hospital, VIOLET of Cospicua, residing at Paola, aged 79, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband John Roland, her children Sandra and her husband Carm Mifsud Bonnici, Christine and her husband Giovanni Barbaro-Sant and Josef and his wife Marlene, her grandchildren Clement, Anselmo, Gregorio, Giuliana, Federico, Raphael, and Catherine, her sisters Maria, Inez and Giulia, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 9am for Christ the King parish church, Paola, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 10am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest. MIFSUD. On June 20, at Mater Dei Hospital, Mgr LAWRENCE MIFSUD, of Vittoriosa, residing in Siġġiewi, ex-rector at St John’s Co-Cathedral, went to meet the Risen Lord at the age of 83. He leaves to mourn his loss his dear sister Helen, who took great care of him, Adelina and Francis, Rose and Ignatius, Lino and Rose, Cathy and Charlie, Tony and Doreen, his dear nephews and nieces and their families, the College of the Metropolitan Chapter, numerous priests, parishioners and friends. The funeral cortege leaves Mater Dei Hospital today, Thursday, June 22, at 2pm for Siġġiewi where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at St Nicholas parish church at 4pm. He will be buried in the family grave at St Lawrence Cemetery, Vittoriosa. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

THORP – Lady DOREEN MARY, widow of Sir John, a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 17, at Casa Antonia, Balzan, aged 99. Funeral Mass praesente cadavere will be said tomorrow, Friday, June 23 at 10.30am at St Paul’s Pro-Cathedral, Valletta, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. The family would appreciate if instead of flowers donations be sent to the Anglican Chaplaincy in Malta and Gozo. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
